Copy of Memo. of Agreement

Between (1) Robert Andrew of Harleston - esq. (on behalf also of 2 others)

For T.R. Thornton, an infant

And for Rev. John Fisher, Rector of Brockhall

And (2) Edward Oakley Gray of Buckingham - esq. on behalf of the Grand Junction Canal Co.

(1) agrees to sell land belonging to the Trustees of the will of T.L. Thornton in the parishes of Norton and Brockhall, also part of the Glebe Land belonging to John Fisher in Brockhall, and the Tythes of both, in order to make and complete the Grand Junction Canal

For land in Brockhall between the parish of Norton and the Glebe land at the rate of £83 per acre, for land in Norton at £88 per acre

For land in Brockhall between land on the S. side of the Glebe land and the land of Thomas Denny at £85 per acre

For the Glebe land in Brockhall at £90 per acre, and for the Tythes of all the land (except Glebe) at £5 per acre
