At back, extracts from customary tenants' wills John Moorhouse of Sunderland p. Isel, yeo., proved in 1816; John Gate of Sunderland, farmer, proved in 1918; extracts from conveyances: the Revd. HAB Moorhouse of Ventnor to John Gate, 1921; exchange by Robert and John Gate to James Walker of Holly House, Sunderland, farmer, 16 June 1921; memorandum re 2 enfranchisements (to Joseph Walker and to Joseph Bushby) 1880.
At front "An Account of Cavel Hedge between Tallintire Ground and part of Milston Moore Farm which is made by Different People in Tallintire ..." (names, lengths in yards; total of the hedge, 370½ yds.), n.d. (late 18th cent.)
"A list of the number of Cavel Hedge [lengths] on the West side of Isell Gill beginning at the Top end at Blindcrake, [by] Andrew Green" (same details), [same hand]
"An account of Cornage Rent due to Lord Egremont yearly from Isell Hall, Plumbland, Warthole, Sunderland, Redmain and Blindcrake" (in two columns: left: the township totals; right: the individual tenants' cornage), [late 18th cent.]
"An Account of Boon Days paid Yearly by the Customary Tenants within the Manor of Isell to Isell Hall" - names the tenants, with shearing, harrowing, mowing, ploughing [spelled sic] to be done by each; note at foot of "Number of Hens or Chickens paid from the Manor of Isell to Brayton yearly" (names the tenants), 6 Jan. 1827
