St. John's Church Kempston (1868-1940) and St. Stephen's Church Kempston (1887-1940) both began as chapels of ease or daughter churches to Kempston Parish Church (All Saints). They were replaced by the Church of the Transfiguration (consecrated on 14th July 1940) which is now a separate parish.
