File of correspondence betweem J.H. Kitchen/J. Kitchen & Sons Limited and William Hesketh Lever.
J. Kitchen & Sons, formed in 1856 was a candle and soap making business, based in Melbourne, Australia and operating in Victoria and New South Wales, with a subsidiary called the Sydney Soap and Candle Company Limited.
File covers relations with the Kitchens during this period, during which they were taken over by Lever Brothers Limited in 1914, though the family remained in the management.
20th June 1902 - 4th May 1925
