Mr Golovine: I understand that the Hunter Mk.2 has flown twice on Thursday, April 2. Quoting from Mr Palmer's note on 8 April: ' ...These were the first flights following installation of the replacement engine Sa.128. During these flights, excessive jet pipe temperature was experienced in climb and in order to keep the aircraft servicable over the holiday period the four large nozzle trimmers were removed and four small ones fitted...'. Mr Slatter: After Sa123 was installed, excessive jet pipe temperatures were noted, even at low altitude. The four large trimmers were replaced by four small ones, which brought jet pipe temperatures in line with the expected values
