This circuit was formed in 1933 and comprised the previous circuits. In 1990 parts of this circuit was amalgamated with Shaftesbury and Gillingham Circuit to form the North Dorset Circuit; Blandford, Winterborne Stickland, Kingston and Whitechurch Churches joined Wimborne Circuit.
