Double-acting engine, with 50 inch cylinder, 8 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron beam.
Reverse plan of the engine house and boiler and blowing cylinder, plan of the tunnel, longitudinal section of the engine house and blowing cylinder, cross-sections of the engine house, plan and section of the round boiler; air pump and condenser - partially coloured reverse drawings; working gear - partially coloured original and partially coloured reverse drawings (the original was sent to Soho, and is marked "Dimensions in red as made for the 48 inch blowing engine for the Sclessin Co. 1838"); sketch plan of the engine and boiler houses and regulator, with sketch cross-section of boiler attached; press copy plan and sections of the engine and boiler houses. All the drawings except the last 2 items bear letter codes.
