Madras volumes give only officers' widows until c 1800, thereafter all widows - the husband's forenames/initials are not given, his rank given from May 1851. Bombay volumes give only officers' widows until c 1830, thereafter all widows - a husband's full name/initials and rank are given from the beginning.
