Joint interview with County Councillor Yasin, and Mr. Iqbal, Chairman of the Pakistan Welfare Association concerning the Bangladeshi and Pakistani community in Luton.
Side A: details include Hindi and Urdu community languages, the places of origin in Bangladesh ( Sliyet ) and Marimpur ( Pakistan ), high rate of illiteracy among the older generation, second post immigration generation of women increasing working outside the home, major local employers such as SB Frozen Food, Leagrave Road, and Novatex plastics factory Dallow Road, employment in local restaurants and offices, and the history of immigration and settlement in Luton.
Also interview with Zubia Ali aged 18 and originally a Kenyan Asian concerning her family background.

(1 ) Continuation of the interview with County Councillor Yasin and Mr. Iqbal on Side A above. Details include: character of the community , the continuance of indigenous traditions, local funeral practise to often return the body to Bangladesh and Pakistan for burial, impact of the recession of the early 1990's, gradual breakdown of community self-reliance, development of local authority services geared to Asian needs such as day centres for the elderly, and the degree of Asian political representation on Bedfordshire County Council and Luton Borough Council.
( 2 ) Also interview with Zulfiqar Ali Chairman of the One Nation Youth Club based at Bury Park Community Centre, history of the club from its establishment as a football team in c.1990, current club projects, women's dance project, multi-cultural community play, a 'Restart' programme for the unemployed, personal recollections of his working life, working as a Tandoori Chef in Ealing, West London, and at a Trusthouse Forte owned catering company at Luton Airport supplying in-flight food to the airline companies.
