Folio 316. Letter from James Saunders, Clerk to the East Dereham Local Board in the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, to the Local Government Board, enclosing the returns and vouchers as requested in their letter of 6 January 1880 [not included]. He also enquires as to the meaning of the words 'financial year' as used by the Board in their letter, as to whether it indicates the year ending 31 December or 25 March, this being the end of the Local Board's financial year.
Annotated: 'Send back the receipts and say that the Financial year terminates on the 31 March', 9 January 1880.
