36 horse power double-acting sun & planet engine, with 30¾ inch cylinder, 6 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod.

Coloured original and reverse general view of the engine, plan of the engine and boilers, longitudinal section of boiler; reverse section and plan of boiler; reverse plan of the engine and boiler houses and framing; reverse sections of the engine and boiler houses and framing, marked "redrawn Oct. 1827"; parallel motion - reverse drawing marked "HHE John Monteith, HJT Wilks & Jewsbury"; working gear - coloured original front and side views; plans and elevation of the mill, showing location of water wheel, engine house etc. All the drawings except those of the mill bear letter codes.
