To hold free of service save that of the chief lords at the accustomed times, i.e. to the lord of Merstum [Merston] at hockday 10d., and to Matilda, dau. of Adam Hurt, and her heirs 2d

Warranty clause; but if Jordan and his heirs do not warrant, they will give in exchange from their land in Lamberhurst and Branchel' [Brenchley (co. Kent)]

Covenant by said Jordan that neither he nor his heirs will molest said Peter or his assigns on payment of 100s

In witness of this agreement Peter gives to Matilda, w. of Jordan, one bezant, and to Aaron, his heir, 12d
