Description

William the clerk and Robert de Maclisfeld, Sheriffs.

m.2d. Sheriffs appeared v. Abbot of Chester and Thomas de Yves [or Ynes?] concerning Thomas's refusal to pay tolls. The Abbot came and claimed that he and his men and all tenants and residents on their lands were free from the payment of tolls by charters of the Earls of Chester, confirmed by Edward I. Charters quoted.

mm. 1,2,7, Suit re. right of Hospital of St. Giles, Boughton to fishery in R. Dee. Warden: Mathew de Norhthale. His predecessor was Roger Rop. 3 loose fragments:-

(a) Writ to Sheriffs, 26 Ed. I.

(b) Plaint by Warden of St. Giles, Boughton, concerning fishery and salmon. French.

(c) Fragment of plaint by Prioress of the Nuns of St. Mary.
