Family muniments of the Cecils of Dronfield House and their predecessors the Rotherhams and Rossingtons. (Deposited 1966 and 1974). Records including:
Manor: Dronfield, Derbyshire, court books and papers 1647-1857. Market charter 1662.
Deeds and leases: Dronfield manor and estates including Dore, Stubley, Unstone, Povey, 1567-1820 (200); Sharrow, Sheffield, 1674-1890 (50); Gleadless 1796-1874 (6) Yorkshire; Colliery leases (Unstone Coal and Coke Co.) 1850-1897 (8); Wills and settlements, all estates, to 1890.
(Other families include Blythe, Burton, Fenton, Outram).
Plans: Dronfield 1710, 1722-1746; Sheffield (Sharrow and Fieldhead estates) 19th century.
Estate: Dronfield rentals 1743-1821 and miscellaneous.
