Secret letters from the Bombay Government mainly to the Secret Committee of the EIC Court of Directors in London (1798-1858) and to the India Office, London (1858-1873). Partial duplicate of L/PS/5/302-320. Includes some letters from Governors of Bombay in an individual capacity. No volume for the year 1807. Vol 24 [L/PS/5/345] comprises enclosure to Bombay Secret Letter no 42 of 1847, i.e. report by Mr Malet on the East India Company's relations with Turkish Arabia 1646-1846. Vols 34-36 [L/PS/5/355-357] 1859-1869 include not only letters but abstracts of enclosures. Vol 37 [L/PS/5/358] 1870-1873 comprises both letters and enclosures.
