These records are closed to inspection for 30 years, except classes 20-22.: the criminal records in P20 and P21 are closed for 100 years, the coroners' records in P22 for 75 years.

These records were originally deposited in November 1956, with an additional deposit on the amalgamation of the forces in Hampshire in April 1967. Further records were transferred from the Hampshire Record Office in April 1996, after deposit there by the police authority in 1986. Accs 205, 1451, 5817, 5886.
