B 7/8/1895 and went to Winchester from Rev C Black's school at Colwall, Nr Malvern. He was farming in Canada when war broke out and, returning to England at once, was gazetted to the 3rd Bn Northumberland Fusiliers. He went to the front in July 1915 and early in 1916 was appointed to the MGC. He fell at Delville Wood on July 25th of that year. Portrait.;
