The Beneficent Lodge was named and established in 1789 and met at the New Angel, Market Place, Macclesfield, Cheshire. In 1804 the lodge moved to the Unicorn Inn, Unicorn Gateway, Market Place, Macclesfield. The lodge was erased in 1827. The lodge also worked under the Antients Warrant, No. 47, from 1764 to 1800.
