The Lodge of Good-Will was named and established in 1786. In 1786 the lodge met at a private room in Braintree, Essex but by 1788 the lodge was meeting at the Bull, Church Street, Braintree. In 1792 the lodge moved to a private room in Braintree and the meetings remained there until the lodge was erased in 1823.
