TURC Print Ltd

A Print function was established by TURC in 1983 to provide printing services to trades union branches and community groups. During 1984, a great deal of work was undertaken for Miners' Support Groups in the Midlands. In 1986 it became a separate subsidiary of the Centre.In 1988 major refurbishment of the premises caused extensive water damage to electrical fittings and water stock, as well as general disturbance. This resulted in severe interruptions to production, and resulted in TURC instigating legal proceedings against their landlords.In 1989 TURC Print relocated to the ground floor. Further interruptions to productivity occurred during the planning and execution of this move.TURC Print closed in 1992 when BCC reduced funding to cover only TURC?s [original] core services of research and information.
