Petition from members to form a proposed new lodge to meet at the Sun Inn, King's Lynn, Norfolk recommended by Lodge of Perseverance, No. 294 [SN 1290], Norwich nominating Michael Alexander Gage as proposed Worshipful Master; Charles Smyth as Senior Warden and Daniel Mathews as Junior Warden. Other members signing the document include Samuel Southgate, Thomas Varley, William Thorns and William Robinson. Members inform Grand Lodge that the Lodge at Peterborough [unnamed lodge No. 160 [SN 1399] meeting at the Angel Inn, Peterborough] has transferred to the Moderns Grand Lodge [St Peter's Lodge, No. 596 [SN 1411]. Remaining Antients' members from the Peterborough Lodge relocated to Holt but the warrant lies dormant. Request certificates for members.

Philanthropic Lodge was granted a warrant on 22 March 1810 by the Antients' Grand Lodge to meet as No. 142B. The Lodge was constituted on 14 May 1810 while meeting at the Maid's Head Inn, Tuesday Market Place, Lynn, [sometimes called Lynn Regis and now known as King's Lynn] Norfolk. After the Antients' and Moderns' Grand Lodges formed a union to meet as the United Grand Lodge of England, the Lodge was renumbered in 1814 to meet as No. 172. The Lodge was renumbered in 1832 to meet as No. 124. In 1863 the Lodge was renumbered on the last occasion to meet as No. 107. The Lodge has met in many inns and taverns around King's Lynn but now meets at the Duke's Head Hotel, King's Lynn.
