The Edington Pig Insurance Society was established Dec. 25 1865. It met at the George Inn, Tinhead and was variously known as the Tinhead Pig Club, the Tinhead and Edington Parish Pig Insurance Society and the Parish of Edington and East Coulston Pig Insurance Society.
