The publications contained in this series resulted from the Milk Marketing Board being given powers to "encourage, promote or conduct agricultural co-operation among producers of milk or research and education in connection with the production and marketing of milk and milk products." by the Milk Marketing Scheme (Approval) Order (England and Wales) 1933, section 56(6).
The Home Farmer (from 1954 renamed The Milk Producer) was the Milk Marketing Board's monthly journal, aimed primarily at communicating Milk Marketing Board's activities and related information to producers.
UK Diary Facts and Figures was actually produced by the Federation of UK Milk Marketing Boards.
Key UK Dairy Products Market Statistics was not released outside Milk Marketing Board due to the inclusion of confidential market research data.
