Folios 295-298. Memorandum to Evan Nepean, Under-Secretary, Home Office, from Captain [James] Hadden [secretary to the Master-General of the Ordnance] introducing the bearer as Mr Moore, surgeon to the Royal Laboratory at Woolwich, who had brought the enclosed anonymous letter [wanting] to Hadden, who in turn thought Nepean might recognise the writer's hand. Enclosed is a private letter to Nepean from Hadden casting some doubt on Moore's reputation and referring to his brother, a Woolwich lawyer, as being inimical to the present government.
