Description

This series contains records of the Crown Court at Leeds comprising a variety of case files.

It includes evidence leading to the prosecution of John Poulson, the Yorkshire architect, for corruption (J 291/59-101). Police investigation of Poulson led to the resignation of the Home Secretary, Reginald Maudling, in 1972. Poulson was convicted in 1975.
