Description

Correspondence received from 'offices' (Government departments and other organisations) on subjects concerning Trinidad. Correspondents and subjects are as follows:

Offices:

  • Home Office (frivolous appeals by prisoners, company registration, Trinidad Imperial Oilfields Limited, punishment of criminal lunatics);
  • India Office (Supernumerary Medical Officer, pension of Mr Swan, Burmah Oil Company);
  • Law Officers (Central Mining and Investment Corporation Oil Agreement);
  • House of Commons (Wheel Tax Ordinance, military establishment, United British West Indies Petroleum Syndicate, pipe line agreement);
  • Board of Trade (awards for life-saving at sea, British Empire Trade Mark Association, wireless communication with Dutch Guiana);
  • Treasury (issue of $1000 notes by the Government of Trinidad, coin reserve against note issue, destruction of oil in time of necessity).
