Description

Correspondence from 'offices' (Government departments and other organisations) on matters relating to Trinidad. Correspondents and subjects are as follows:

  • Foreign Office (claims against the Venezuelan Government, Venezuelan affairs and 30% surtax, Mr Sanberson's claim against the Venezuelan Government, movements of ex-President Castro, telegraph rates between Trinidad and Venezuela, Venezuelan surtax on wines, complaint of William Gilbert for alleged ill-treatment by the Venezuelan Customs authorities, claim of Mrs de Merlin against Venezuela, free import into Colombia of certain Venezuelan products, complaint of Robert Brown against the Venezuelan Government, Venezuelan coastal steamship service, United States quarantine regulations, proposed bank issue, claim of Mrs Bourgeois, against the Venezuelan Government, centenary of Venezuelan independence); Inland Revenue (succession duty on certain leases of Crown Lands);
