Description

Correspondence received from Government Departments on subjects concerning Trinidad. Correspondents and subjects are as follows:

  • Admiralty (Oil Exploration Company of Canada concession, wireless telegraphy with British Guiana, oil prospecting, oil concessions, Pitch Lake concession);
  • Emigration Agent (emoluments of W F Bolton, removal of agency premises from Calcutta [map enclosed of the Port of Calcutta], emigrants for Dutch Guiana, report of the Protector of Emigrants 1907, agency for Immigration League of Australia, Mr Bolton's salary and house and Gharry allowance, bill for £39 9s 6d, Emigration Accounts of 1907-08, pension conditions, land for new agency premises at Calcutta, apportionment of agency expenses, application of Surgeon Superintendent Welsh);
  • Crown Agents (loan, migrant vessels, floating dock concession, General Loan and Inscribed Stock Ordinance and Public Works Loan Ordinance, requisition of 20,000 two dollar notes, Ordinances 18 and 19 of 1908, position of Miss Griffiths, Trinidad Dock and Engineering Company, bill for £39 9s 6d, petition of Miss Todd for assistance, Dock and Engineering Company, Riot Commission 1903 Evidence, case of A E Milne Government Scholar);
  • Foreign Office (telegraph communication with Venezuela, foreigners in Venezuela, goods for Maracaibo, trade with Venezuela, traffic with Venezuela ports, claim of T C Gordon, restrictions on exports from Venezuela, Netherlands and Venezuela, Mr Henderson's claim against the Venezuelan Government);
