Description

Correspondence received from 'offices' (Government departments and other organisations) and individuals on subjects concerning Trinidad. Correspondents and subjects are as follows:

Offices:

  • Admiralty (proposed concession to Oil Exploration Company of Canada, Land Regulations Amendment, wireless telegraphy between Trinidad and Venezuela);
  • Crown Agents (Floating Dock Agreement and concession, Asphalt Industry Regulations Ordinance, 'coolie' ship Rhine and the landing of rice at St Helena, complaint of Dr F C Shaw, pension of H J Brooks ex-Sergeant of the Police Force of Trinidad, fruit contract, wireless telegraphy between Trinidad and Tobago);
  • Emigration Agent at Calcutta (immigrants for Trinidad 1905-06, acquisition of agency premises by the Government of Bengal, W F Bolton as Assistant Emigration Agent);
  • Council Office (Orders in Council);
  • Home Office (Mines Regulation Ordinance);
  • India Office (acquisition of Emigration Agency premises);
  • Board of Trade (death of a British subject named Gallivan on Russian ship Hiram, surrender of vessels infringing the revenue laws, Patents Ordinance 1905;
