Description

Despatches from Governor Sir S Freeling (1881 Dec) as well as letters from various offices (government departments and other organizations) and individuals. Despatches are described at item level; letters from offices and individuals are not.

Offices:

  • Admiralty (shoals near Trinidad, carnival disturbances, squadron to be sent at carnival time, annual visit of a warship at carnival time);
  • Crown Agents (railway loan, accounting);
  • Board of Trade (regulations regarding vessel registry, Weights and Measures Ordinance);
  • Treasury (duties on reprints of British copyright works);
