Description

Letters from various individuals on matters related to Trinidad. Correspondents and subjects are as follows:

  • Henry Bulwer (leave of absence extension request, application for appointment as administrator of the government of St Vincent, inability to leave England due to illness, resignation as receiver general);
  • Dr R H Bakewell, Medical Officer (investigation of Dr Beauperthuy's method of treating leprosy, passage to England, claim for remuneration, full salary during leave of absence, requests permission to go to an Eastern colony to try Dr Beauperthuy's method, requests appointment as an assistant physician at the Port of Spain hospital without salary, arrangements for return to Trinidad, rules for the treatment of lepers by Dr Beauperthuy's method, application for the office of surgeon general of Trinidad, delay in returning to Trinidad due to illness);
  • Thomas Breveter (British emigrants in Venezuela, arrival of Mr and Mrs Robinson in England);
  • H T Bowen (payment of pension in England);
  • James William Berry (asks for a letter at Ciudad Bolivar to be forwarded to England);
  • Captain Arthur A Cochrane (requests grant of Crown Land due to his role in using petroleum land);
