Letters from various offices (government departments and other organisations) and individuals on matters related to Trinidad. Correspondents and subjects are as follows.

  • Crown Agents (F R Cadiz's lecture certificates, Mr Gomez's salary);
  • Foreign Office (Italian Consul Guiseppe [Giuseppe] Cipirani, French Consular Agent Joliclere);
  • General Post Office (money order accounts, registration of letters containing coins);
  • Kew Gardens (seeds of Shiraz Tobacco);
  • Trinity College Cambridge (examination papers for Queens Collegiate School);
  • Board of Trade (Tonnage Duty Ordinance);
  • Treasury (purchase of Mr Pruger's botanical library, improvement of Quays Ordinance, sinking fund and guaranteed loan, compensation to Police Inspector, circulation of American coins, revision of taxation, grant of £50 to Mr Stuart, addition to Police Force, value of Spanish and American dollars, payment of acting chief justice, appointment of hospital clerk, revenue and expenditure estimates, legislation affecting currency, supplemental estimates for 1864, Trading Companies Ordinance);
