Description

Letters from various offices (government departments and other organisations) and individuals on matters related to Trinidad. Correspondents and subjects are as follows:

Offices:

  • Admiralty (charge against Captain Watson, Mr Meagher's passage from Jamaica);
  • Crown Agents (Admiralty's claim for Mr Leahy's passage, pay due to deceased Mr Curle, redemption of debentures, Thomas Raymond Cadiz's £150 scholarship, debentures held by Robert William Keate);
  • Council Office (ballasting ships with tidal mud);
  • Foreign Office (order conferred on George Garcia by the Pope, Mr Court's complaint against the Venezuelan government, claim of Venezuelan Agent Elio Martin, Mr Urich's application for naturalisation, appointment of Nicolas L Humphrey as United States' Consul, appointment of Guiseppe [Giuseppe] Drago as Italian Consul, seizure of the Albion at Ciudad Bolivar, enquiry respecting Italians Joseph Penco and Joseph Giovanetti);
