Letters from individuals on matters related to Trinidad. Correspondents and subjects are as follows:

  • Lieutenant Colonel Archer (applies for appointment as acting governor);
  • Henry Hart Anderson (requests an appointment);
  • J Black (Dr Buller's departure);
  • Bishop of Barbados (ecclesiastical patronage, nominates Reverend C Macleod to the curacy of St Thomas' Parish);
  • J H Bristeed (property left by Samuel Clift - the husband of Mrs Mary Clift);
  • H T Bowen (requests appointment of puisne judge);
  • Lord Combermere (recommends Lieutenant Colonel Archer for appointment as acting governor);
  • Chalmers & Guthrie (recommends Mr Fuller for a judgeship, B Hughes's application for employment);
