Description

Correspondence received from 'offices' (Government departments and other organisations) and from individuals (surnames A-D) on subjects concerning Jamaica. Correspondents and subjects are as follows:

  • War Office (supply of arms, powers of Sanitary Commissioners, command of the militia, rifles and carbines, sanitary condition of Port Royal, Major G F Leverson of the Royal Engineers, adjutant of the militia, the militia and the constabulary, militia equipment, disturbances among Maroons at Annotta Bay, rates of Port Royal and War Office contributions);
