Further detailed evidence heard by Commission: Hon Robert Hamilton, Hon Alan Ker, Hon Alexander Gordon Fyfe. Charges brought by Dr Lewis Quier Bowerbank against Public Hospital and Lunatic Asylum; allegations include mismanagement, ill-trained staff at all levels, poor sanitary conditions, over-crowding, maltreatment of patients. Further evidence given by a number of individuals.
