Dartmouth [to Marlborough] on 16 January 1711: he is to provide 12 24-pounders, 8 12-pounders etc., three bomb ketches and 5,000 hand grenades by the end of February. Officers of Ordnance to Marlborough on 29 January: they have drawn up a proportion in accordance with Dartmouth's letter above. 'A list of the Officers etc. to attend the said train, with their pay for a Year'. 1 March 1711 'A letter to Commissary Hawys to pay the resepective persons undermention the sum against their names being a Month's full pay to them as Officers and Attendants in the train of Artillery (under the Command of Colonel Richard King and commencing the 1st of February 1710/11) ordered on an expedition'...
