I collective petition (18 people, the prisoner and neighbours of the prisoner of Ipswich, Suffolk) on behalf of John Micklefield convicted at the 'last' Ipswich General Sessions held at Ipswich [Suffolk: Ipswich Quarter Sessions], for receiving stolen goods. Grounds for clemency: age (71 years), infirm, wished to transport himself to the United States of America, has sons there already who will support him. Initial sentence: 14 years transportation.
