A letter from Lord Liverpool referring to a man 'respited till Saturday'. Attached is a reply from the Earl of Eldon thanking [Liverpool?] for the papers transmitted on the case of Costello and noting 'if that blow was not given by the Prisoner there is room for Mercy,' and he agrees with Justice Bacon that further enquiries should be made into the case. Folios 177-179.
