Commissioner Philip Vanbrugh, Plymouth. Receipt of letters approving the indictment of Thomas Maclean and George Edwards at the next General Quarter Sessions, advising Charles Brett, Storekeeper has leave and to appoint a Surgeon's 2nd Mate to the St. Albans, Thomas Longwell, Assistant to the Surgeon of the Yard. Did not fill up the two blank warrants for Surgeon's Mates because he was expecting those appointed in London to appear. Receipt of warrant for the Officers to comptrol the payment of the ships.
