Administrative / biographical background

Judicial trustees are appointed from the Official Solicitor's Department by the Chancery Division, in order to secure for beneficiaries a proper administration of trust funds. The usual occasions on which a judicial trustee is appointed are when there has been maladministration by, or disagreement between, previous trustees.
