Description

Port Royal Officers. Since our last letter by the Folkestone Pacquet, the Wager captured a French ship off Nassau homeward bound from Martinique and laden with sugar and indigo. The Strafford, Lenox, Plymouth and Worcester returned from a ten week cruise on the Windward Passage and are fitting for another expedition. There is no suitable cordage available in store or on the island. Have sent a demand for stores by the Countess of Leicester Pacquet with a duplicate copy by the Faulkner. The Beddiford sailed on the 15th and convoys the Triumphant Brig Tender to Port Antonio to load with piles for repairing the wharf.
