Selected case papers arising from applications by the Official Solicitor to the courts for the release from prison of persons committed for contempt.

In addition to correspondence with prison authorities, solicitors, etc the files also contain copies of documents connected with the earlier court proceedings for which the person concerned was imprisoned. They include such material as affidavits, exhibits, orders, etc.
