[The letter is difficult to follow and it is not clear whether it is from Courtrai and his fellow merchants concerning the seizure of their goods on a ship of Spain, or from another unnamed individual addressed to them telling them to come to Portsmouth to freight their goods from there].The letter states that their goods were on a ship of Spain that was taken by Gascons, they intending to go to Portsmouth and then to Calais and Damme and requesting others to come and freight the goods. It also refers to the taking of another ship of Gonsalvo.
