Nature of request
Letter of Edward I under the privy seal to his son, his lieutenant in England, and his council commanding them to enquire of the complaints of the burgesses of Bruges and others of the power of the King of France contained in a scroll and roll enclosed with the letter, that they have lost certain ships laden with goods to men of England and Bayonne, and that they are to make redress as quickly as they are able.
