Nature of request
Asshebourn states that Fulbourn was in arrears on his account to the king's grandfather for the time that he was treasurer in Ireland, which arrears the king's grandfather by his letters patent pardoned to Fulbourn for his good service, the which letter is allowed and enrolled in the Exchequer of Dublin. Afterwards, the petitioner not knowing of the pardon, purchased an instalment of the arrears to pay two marks per annum. Asshebourn requests, that having regard for the pardon, that he will command a writ to the treasurer and barons that if they are able to find by record that the arrears are pardoned to Fulbourn in this manner, that then they are to discharge Asshebourn from the debt and arrears.
