Nature of request
Fillingham requests that right is done to him concerning the great outrages of Robert de Muncaster, namely menacing him of life and limb, and Fillingham brought a writ of process by the power of which Muncaster was attached and in full court pledged the peace according to the law, and so Muncaster came and assaulted, wounded and maimed, and stole a horse charged with malt in the king's high street against the peace, and is still seised of them.

If it is within the verge, he should sue before the steward and marshal, and if outside, he should go to the chancellor and obtain it by right of the common law.
