[The petition is badly faded in places, and full sense is difficult to recover. The petitioner refers to when he was escheator of Shropshire and Staffordshire, and to the war with Prince Llewelyn. There seems to be some dispute over the granting of goods and lands to various individuals, most of whom have died, and the petitioner is being unfairly pursued for them with the others being dead].1)
