Nethercote shows that Howe at Candlemas bought tin from Burge for the use of the petitioner, but it was found that it was mixed with cinders and dross whereupon he brought the maker's mark and the dross as forfeit to the prince and before the prince's court, but he could have no return, so that he brought it before the prince's receiver and both he and Burge were bound in an obligation in £20 to abide the award of the prince's council. The tin is brought to London, and he requests that he and Burge are called before them, and the truth by the chancellor and commissioners be thoroughly known, and that what is thought most fitting be done.
