Name(s)
Sadeler (Saddler), Stephen
Addressees

Nature of request
Sadeler shows and complains that in the 10th year of Edward IV he sold cloth to Jane for £7 13s 4d to be paid by Jane when he had sold the same, on condition that Jane passed overseas with the same and secured a safe-conduct from the duke of Brittany. Sadeler delivered the cloth, and Jane then sold it to a Breton merchant who was at Fowey at that time, and despite many requests and the petitioner having sued Jane in the prince's court of Liskeard, he has refused to pay the petitioner for the cloth, and have delayed the suit for two years to the petitioner's great cost. Sadeler requests that the premises be considered, and that Jane be commanded to appear before the chancellor and commissioners and the parties be examined and to proceed further as they think expedient.
